Tutoring
One-to-one tutoring is available for students with dyslexia. Reading, spelling, and composition are addressed. Study strategies that are appropriate for the grade level are also available,

Consulting
I will read evaluations and translate to appropriate educational recommendations. A list will be provided for parent-teacher and IEP conferences.

At parental request, I attend parent-teacher conferences as well as IEP conferences.

Materials and Programs Implemented

Preventing Academic Failure (PAF) by Eileen Perlman and Phyllis Bertin.
A Slingerland-based, multisensory program for reading, writing and spelling to prevent academic failure. PAF has been successful in many public schools in mainstream classrooms. Teacher training is provided.

The Writing Revolution (TWR) by Judith C. Hochman.
An expository writing program developed and implemented at Windward School, White Plains, NY. Windward is a private school for dyslexic students. Dr. Hochman has trained many public elementary and secondary school teachers in the mainstream classrooms.

Learning Strategies from the Strategic Instruction Model (SIM), University of Kansas.
The University of Kansas has developed learning strategies for at-risk learners for over 30 years. The strategies have been implemented in secondary schools and in support programs at the university level. Teacher training is provided.

All these programs can be integrated with classroom assignments and the Wilson Reading Program.
