Dr. Wahl works with people of all ages from childhood through adulthood. 

She does one-to-one tutoring in reading and writing.  Skills are taught step-by-step in decoding, spelling and writing, and in comprehension. With sufficient review and practice, her students become effective readers and writers. 

The foundations of arithmetic are taught with concrete materials to develop the concepts of math.  The language of math is a key part of instruction.  Again, a systematic approach with sufficient review and application create success. 

Other study strategies are taught in a systematic manner and applied to current school work or life tasks. Strategies address vocabulary, reading comprehension, note taking and memory. Graphic organizers can be effective for specific tasks. Although the methods for all people have some common elements, each person is different and needs to be taught according to their interests, strengths and weaknesses.
