Touch typing is essential for today’s world. More work is completed on the computer so it is important to learn to use all fingers without looking at the keys. By using one or two fingers, a person can type about 10 words per minute. In handwriting, a person can produce about 10 to 20 words per minute. By using all fingers without looking at the keys, a person can type 80 to 100 words per minute.
